Bionano Prep DLS Labeling Kit reagents are used specifically for applications on Saphyr systems. A specific sequence motif is labeled directly with fluorophores in a single enzymatic reaction on high-molecular-weight DNA purified using the appropriate Bionano Prep DNA Isolation Kit. The Direct Label and Stain (DLS) process results in uniquely identifiable, genome-specific label patterns on double-stranded genomic DNA that enable de novo assembly, anchoring of sequence contigs, and discovery of structural variants (> 500 bp).
